AirGreen2, delivered the first components for the flight tests

As part of the AirGreen2 project (Clean Sky 2 REG IADP) the first components to be used for future flight tests planned on the C27J (FTB # 1) were made and released to Leonardo. The components made are the left and right ADAPTER Plugs that will be mounted at the end of the wings to allow the connection of the subsequent experimental components that the AirGreen2 project will supply as the WingTip for the validation of the technologies related to "Load Alleviation" and the Winglet Morphing for the validation of the morphing technologies applied to the winglet for wing loading control. These components will allow Leonardo can begin the modifications of the wing of the aircraft that will be used for in-flight experiments.

​As project leader CIRA coordinated the activities of TECNAM for the manufacture of the spars and ribs and the final assembly and HAI (Hellenic Aerospace Industries) which manufactured the leading edges and skins.​
